in our kitchen

This is the way Theo typically looks after every breakfast and many lunches. He is a fool for blueberries. When he wakes up in the morning he yells. "EAT. I EAT." When I ask him what he wants to eat he always answers, "Berries."

Gus breading eggplant for eggplant parmigiana is not so typical around here. He likes to help me cook and bake, but I do not usually invite him into such potentially messy projects, and I also do not make eggplant often since, so far, the boys do not like it. But we invited Danielle, Alex and Eli over for the end of Passover and eggplant and spaghetti seemed like the perfect thing to serve.

Theo did not eat the eggplant but licked his desert plate clean. Blueberry shortcake.
