Gus has abandoned his bed due to nightmares about spiders. He started out sleeping with us. After a couple of weeks of that we tried to move him back to his bed but he resisted and ended up sleeping on the floor in the hall for another week. We have come to a compromise and he now sleeps on the floor in his room. He seems comfortable but we really cannot let this continue and his bed, even if we could convince him that it is spider-free, is really too small, as he tends to sprawl out when he sleeps. So we are in the market for a twin bed.
Today we browsed IKEA and tried out all the beds. I just cannot make a decision. Ikea bed? Non-Ikea bed? Bunk beds? Mattress and box spring? Platform base. Let Theo pick?

Theo was so cute trying to pretend sleep in this that I was tempted to bring it home and watch him play in it all day.
