We took a break from our weekly slushie and walk in the dark to spend the evening with Beth, Tom and Nathan. Beth and Nathan came over after our nonexsistent naptime and we played and then Tom and Jonathan joined us when they got out of work. We had salad, burgers, sausages, corn on the cob and cheese cake with fruit for desert. It was fun and relaxing and a great way to kick off the weekend. We are going to do it more often.
Beth and Tom have a dog, Burt, and were completely shocked by the amount of food that Nathan and Theo dropped on the floor. Their floor, and child, are licked clean after meals. We could really use a dog. Sort of.
Nathan is about six weeks older than Theo and they got along very well. Nathan did not even mind Theo doing "tricks" to his ear.
Neither of them appreciated Gus jumping in on the fun.
"What do you think you are doing, Gus?"
