passover
Theo came down with a fever right as I was getting dressed for the first seder, so we missed the holiday this year, but Jonathan and Gus had fun. Especially Gus. He loves his big cousins. Here he is with Robert and a bag of matzah.
Hugs for Robert
Hugs for his new friend, Sydney. In most of the pictures Jonathan took it looked like he was strangling her. But they actually got along very well.
And the love was mutual.

april fools
This was my sad attempt at an April Fool's prank. The boys are suppose to look like the turned their heads around, but they would not pose the way I asked them too. Oh well.
Once we got their clothes turned around, they had a lot of fun goofing around on the stools they used to build really tall block towers.

first day of school
Gus started preschool today. I had big plans of taking his picture outside of his school holding his lunch bag, but it was only 15 degrees out so I just snapped a couple of pictures of him at circle time before scooping up Theo and rushing out. I am just happy I managed to get us and the camera to school on time.
When we went to pick Gus up, he ran over to me and gave me a big hug, and then Theo gave him a hug and we had a little hug fest. It was nice. Then Gus and Theo went over to the story rug to listen to the rest of the book. Teacher Rosemary asked if anyone wished they could go to the beach today. All the kids were saying "I do" or raising their hands. Theo looked around, then put his hand up. He is too cute and I think after a a few more drop-offs/pick-ups he will be throwing tantrums to stay at school with Gus.
By all reports Gus had a good day, though I could not get him to tell me much about what they did. He said he played dress up, and sang, and painted. And the kids said hi to him. We read a Dr. Seuss book tonight, and I said, "You read a Dr. Seuss book at school today didn't you? Was it about green eggs and Fred?" He started to say "Sam" but cut himself off and said, "We are not talking about that. Just read." I am already so out of the loop. :(
potty antics
This is the funniest thing that has happened here in a while.
Gus likes to go potty by himself. He "needs his privacy." For the most part I try to leave him alone since he is most successful this way, but with enough supervision to ensure that he does not make a huge mess or drown.
Tonight I heard him climb up on the step stool to wash his hands and I went in to check on him. He was brushing his teeth with Jonathan's toothbrush. I said, "Gus, that is Daddy's toothbrush." He said "I know. I brush my teeth with Daddy's toothbrush every time I go potty!"
This made me so happy. What does that say about me? And for the record, Jonathan, I have never seen him use your toothbrush before so this may have actually been the first time. Though I suggest you might want to move your toothbrush. Mine is headed to the medicine cabinet.
